Hamilton Health Care System Receives Laureate Award for Workplace Enhancement

Hamilton Health Care System has been named the recipient of The Jackson Group's prestigious Laureate Award for Workplace Enhancement. Tony Jackson, Senior Advisor and Co-Chairperson, of The Jackson Group, presented the award to the hospital's leadership on Wednesday, April 2, 2008.

The Laureate Award for Workplace Enhancement  was awarded to Hamilton Health Care System based on Continuous Employee Perceptions Survey results that exemplified significant improvement in accordance with The Jackson Group's criteria. The Jackson Group administered Associate surveys in 2003 and 2006-2007 to measure improvements in the work climate and plan for further action in areas  that needed attention. The 2006-2007 survey results indicated  significant improvement compared to survey scores in 2003.

Hamilton Health Care System, located in Dalton, Whitfield County, Georgia, is a comprehensive, nonprofit health care system that owns and operates Hamilton Medical Center, a 282-bed nonprofit regional referral hospital, independent and assisted living facilities, four skilled nursing facilities, two low-income senior housing units and philanthropic foundation. The system also operates Murray Medical Center, a 42-bed nonprofit hospital in Chatsworth, Georgia and contracts with Whitfield County to provide emergency medical services.
